Apparently, this week is the week we are all most likely to be skinter than a monkey with no nuts*.
That's in addition to it being credit crunch, incessant rain and biscuit ban month (a.k.a January).

With this freezing weather there is nothing as nice as a cuppa tea to warm your bones. However if you are in college or in a restaurant save yourself a euro or so a pop, bring your own tea bag and ask for boiling water! 30 boiling waters later saving yourself a euro a go and you have that lovely top you saw in the River Island at the wkend!!!!

My best money saver tip for 2009 is:
Don't buy any make up or skin care products. Just get samples from all the sources you can possibly imagine. Email the company, ring beauty salons, call into all the shops that carry your favourite lines on the pretense that you are thinking of switching to their product but want to try it first.
The samples will keep you going right into 2010 and you'll have the best skin in town!

When doing the shopping, ask you better half to go to the Supermarket (the cheaper the better) and call you when you they are finished. Then you can collect the groceries but they should walk home, this way you will save about 10c per trip on petrol.

Call round to friends to watch tv - saving you on electricity and maybe even a tv and licence altogether! Even better if you can time it for when you know they'll be making dinner, cutting down on your own grocery costs and even further on your electricity bill - win win!!
