What do I love most about summer??
The weather when its sunny...
Using your holiday money!
Flipflops and sandals,
Beach bags with rope handles!
Back at home less traffic,
Kids off school-less manic!
Ditching hot coffee and tea,
For a cool fresh Innocent Smoothie!
Complaining about the heat!
I'm Irish. Those two weeks, well, I'd have spent the other 50 looking forward to them, wondering in despair of/when they're gonna happen or reminiscing fondly about them or fingercrossing for more soon. Just love how Summer sun bathes everyhing in a summery light and even the nights are better for it.
One of my favourite things of summer are the swallows - one of the first signs of summer.....
There's an excitment about summer, the possibility of long summer evenings, everyone's in better form and happy to be out and enjoy the sun. it's always lovely to feel the sun warming your bones....
And if it rains people get a chance to complain (which it seems to be doing a lot lately!)
I love the feel of the sun sinking into my skin. And the improved attitudes of everyone!!! When it's sunny, everyone is your friend and you're not given a weird stare for smiling at strangers!!!!
In the summer time, you soak up much better things than rain. The suns rays have vitamins, the fruit & veg is fresher, and in a sun starved country like Britain, the vibes are undoubtedly better. Soak up the summer while it comes, and store the good feeling for the winter ahead...
Summer means sunshine and being warm, long evenings and bbqs, beaches and sea, holidays and ice-creams, picnics and lying on the grass. All this (and more) is what I love most about SUMMER!
The LOOOOONNNG evenings
Raspberries appearing every day on the bush in the garden
Having a nice cold glass of wine outside
Not taking a jacket to work
The way everything tastes better outside
Ice-cream becoming a major part of your diet!
I like all the free festivals that do be on. The best, I think is Dun Laoighaire festival of world cultures because they have so much going on. I also like not having to wear heavy coats and enjoying a nice cool smoothie on a summery day.
I dont think any of these people live in Ireland.. talkin about loving the sun and all.. what sun? u looked outside guyz? lol... I love the fact that the rain in summer is warmer... it dries of quicker XD
Also, I love the reenactment and living history season coming back, getting to spin about the country doing archery, and mediaeval fight displayz with all the ladz!
What lovely comments, thanks to everyone who posted something. The sun has even come out here.

Sunny days ..... enjoying smoothies without getting brain-freeze!!, BBQ's, Holidays .... Long evenings and bright early mornings :)
And that I'm warm and not shivering with the cold!!
Summer mornings, when everything seems fresh and new, very quiet coz the schools are off and that sense of anticipation when you know it's going to be hot. Getting off the train in town and seeing everyone looking happy and relaxed in colourful summer clothes. And that fabulous time in the evening, just before dusk, when the world is glowing and everything goes quiet for a moment. Perfect.

Summer smells and it smells good. Everything smells stronger especially food. Suntan lotion smells sexy on folk when combined with BBQ smoke.

When the wind tickles behind your ears when you are all wet after swimming.
Even the folk you meet are more warm and bright on a sunny day.
Warm summer eveings with short sleeves till the sun goes down and the promise that anything can happen when you're just walking home.

I love long evenings with nice people.
I especially love jumping in the sea.
And I quite love the smell of fresh cut grass.
