A while back we asked you, the general public, if you try to 'green up' your own lives and how you do it, and we were over the moon to discover just what a creative bunch of green mad citizens you are. Your ideas were so good we just had to blog about it; so here are some of the best:
Gillian told us how she took an old bike she had found in a park and started growing ivy around it. The reason? The bike was wrecked and couldn't be salvaged, but she couldn’t face “that much metal ending up in a landfill”. Brilliant idea Gillian, we love it.
Grace from Co. Meath is 'greening up' her life in a whole host of ways. As well as cycling her bike and installing a solar panel, she’s also growing her own veg and apples in her back garden and recycling her waste into three composts. Way to go Grace, keep living the green dream.
Another lovely lady told us that her husband who’s an artist uses empty innocent cartons as paint palettes as he finds the smooth inside of the carton the ideal surface for a hand-held palette. We salute you.
And last but not least Kate from Well done to you lot for keeping it green and for letting us know about it. Keep up the great work and look out for surprise innocent packages in the post.
