I’m singing in the rain. I’m, singing in the rain…
Yep you’ve guessed it, that is officially our song of the moment and no doubt you know why. But just in case you may have been living under a rock, the people of Ireland awoke to a very familiar sound this morning. A sound that, surprisingly for us, we hadn’t heard in quite some time. (Did you know we had the driest September in over 20 years?)
It was the steady drip, drop, splish, splosh sound of rain. The heavens had opened overnight and it was there for all to see in the huge puddles that had formed and the people scurrying to and fro with their umbrellas held high.
And we were thrilled. Because at innocent, we love the rain. It's so refreshing and it helps everything to grow so much better, plants and flowers just come alive after a downpour.
Not to mention the fun you can have when you prance about in your wellies, splashing in every puddle, unleashing your inner child whilst singing “Raindrops keep falling on my head” at the top of your voice.
We are also very grateful for every raindrop we get because so many countries around the world suffer from such awful drought. So instead of letting the rain get you down, go and grab a raincoat, throw on some wellies and enjoy this wonderful weather for ducks.
Do you like the rain as much as us?
Tell us what you love to do in the rain, we’d love to hear all about it.
