fancy seeing your words on our bottoms?

Yep. You read it right. Your words. On our bottoms.

A couple of years ago, we ran a competition to come up with funny stuff to go on the bottoms of our bottles.

Loads of you entered, it took us weeks to whittle down the entries and in the end, there were so many gems, we decided to pick 7 winners instead of 3.

Since we're all about fresh and finger-on-the-pulse type thinking (and because our bottle man, Simon O, thought it was high time our bottoms had another face lift) we're doing it again.

So if you fancy writing something funny for our bottoms and having your words read by millions, here are the rules:

• Messages must be 40 characters or less.
• Spaces, hyphens, apostrophes and stuff all count as a character.
• Email your entry to howaya@innocentdrinks.ie.
• As many entries per person as you like.
• Extra points for making us laugh.
• Our 3 favourites will be used on millions of bottles across the land. Something to tell the grandkids/impress future spouse/pop on the CV.
• We'll send the 3 winners lots of smoothies too.
• The deadline is Midnight on Sunday 31st January.
• So be quick (and funny).

It's the participation that counts

You know what they say, it’s not about winning or losing it’s the participation that counts. Let’s be honest though, it’s all fun and games until you get beaten by your arch nemesis, i.e. your little brother, the know-it-all person at work or your ex-boyfriend, then it’s all guns blazing to knock them off their perch.  Our new game a bit of innocent fun kicked off this week on facebook, so if your hand eye co-ordination is top notch and you fancy seeing your name in lights then feel free to give it a go and see if you can knock Gary off the top spot...

Life's a peach

We've a new special guest smoothie. Say hello to peaches & raspberries. Being our special guest we did a bit of a background check just to familiarise ourselves and make sure that, you know, we'd have plenty of stuff to talk about and there'd be no awkward silences. Here's what we found out.....

We’ve gone social.

Now we know you might say we’ve always been a bit of a social animal what with our chatty nature, friendly disposition and trips to the pub on a Friday after work, but now seeing as it’s 2010 we’ve gone social in the digital sense. We have our very own facebook page for innocent Ireland. Hurrah. 

We’re going to make it as fun, informative and interesting as we possibly can so if you could take a quick look give it the once over and tell us what you think and what you’d like to see up there that would be great.

We’ve loads of good stuff planned for it in the next few weeks and months so if you want to keep in the loop of all the goings on then you could become a fan and while we won’t send you out a patch for your jeans with our faces on it like in the old days when you joined the Kylie and Jason fan club...

... we will do our very best to keep you entertained, keep you up to date, and listen when you want to talk to us.

A bit of innocent fun

Want to see what we’ve been up to lately? 

Apart from working hard and going to lots of meetings and doing presentations with graphs and tables and serious stuff (well serious with an innocent twist), we’ve also been having lots of fun making a "bit of innocent fun" featuring our very own Frank the rabbit. 

So far in Fruit Towers Ali is the reigning champ with a massive 153 points...

Helen is close with 87 points but Brian is letting the side down with just 15 points - ouch.

Keep an eye out for it online and see how many points you can get, if anyone gets a worse score than Brian (highly unlikely we admit), email us a copy of the final score screen grab to howaya@innocentdrinks.ie and we just might send you out a consolation prize of some innocent goodies to make you feel better.

A place called Haiti

Located in the Caribbean, surrounded by gorgeous crystal blue waters Haiti is the poorest country in the western world.

In the last few years the people of Haiti have had to deal with a whole host of problems such as political instability, food riots, and severe water scarcity. You’d think they had been dealt enough.

On Tuesday night at 22:00 GMT a massive 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit just south of the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince causing unbelievable devastation and loss of life on a massive scale.

Concern Worldwide have been working in Haiti since 1994 doing amazing work to help improve people's lives. They are out there on the ground now in the middle of this disaster and are urgently trying to raise funds to go towards the rescue and to provide food, water, shelter, and medical assistance to people who really need help right now. Today they gave us a call and asked us to post a message on our blog.

Happy new year

It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life/year….and we’re feeling good.

Well not so much good as getting there, slowly but surely. It takes a little while to get back into the swing of things after the over-indulgence that is the festive season. The brain is a bit sluggish and the body a bit battered but the detox has started at fruit towers, the new healthy lifestyle is in full swing (i.e. no chocolate until at least lunchtime) and so far, 6 days in, the new years resolutions are still resolute.

So happy new year everyone. Can you believe it’s actually 2010? How sci-fi is that.
