Put your money where your mouth is...

Last night was for indulgence, and boy did we indulge. We just about managed to stop ourselves for 30 seconds to take these pictures of our scrumptious pancakes before launching into them hammer and nail. It was not a pretty sight.

So now we’re into lent, the season of self-control and renewal when we all have to face our demons and leave our vices far behind. It can be easier said than done though, you might remember last year Ali took on the mighty challenge of giving up nail biting. But alas Ali fell off the wagon – nice ring though.

 

So this year we’re making a group effort - for the moral support and all that. Most of the time we’re pure as the driven snow but on the odd occasion a swear word does slip out. So say hello to the innocent swear box.

 

For every swear word that passes the lips of an innocent (or not so innocent) team member that person will have to donate a few coins (depending on the severity of the swear) to the swear box.  We should have a bob or two set aside by the time lent is over. So what are you giving up for lent this year? Chocolate, home & away, putting on make up in the car? Let us know and the best answer will get themselves some innocent goodies.

Love is in the air…it’s almost Valentines day and that means the pressure is officially on to come up with some brand new, never been seen before, creative, original idea to wow the love of your life and make them swoon. Easier said than done we can tell you. This kind of thing is enough to keep a sane person awake every night for a week. Get it right and happy days for everyone...

Oh yes. Who’d have thought it’d be as simple as whacking
some vanilla ice cream into a bowl and drizzling
it with our special guest peaches and raspberries recipe?

Yep us neither.

So instead of spending all your hard earned cash on red roses, blue violets and foil wrapped chocolate hearts from the petrol station, why not stay in this Sunday and let the melba, moonlight and mood music work their magic.

So it all kicks off again tomorrow, giant men tearing around a field ploughing into each other all macho, strong and passionate. No we’re not talking about a re-enactment of a scene form Braveheart, we could only be talking about one thing and that’s the 6 Nations. Now, we love all things Italian as much as the next person, the food, the wine, the weather, the accent, the gorgeous architecture, Romeo and Juliette, Super Mario… the list goes on and on. But come tomorrow at 2.30pm when Ireland and Italy take to the pitch in Croke Park that’s all going out the window and we’re going green all the way. We’re pretty confident we can defend the title this year, and after a heated debate in the office our guess is Italy 12 Ireland 42. What do you think yourself?
