As everyone knows, Sundays are meant for sleeping, eating, being nice to your elders, shopping, listening to the radio and knitting. So we’re combining at least five of those things (actually all six if you want to catch a few zzzs on a nearby bench - we won’t judge) into one shebang. This Sunday, June 20th from 2-5pm, we’re teaming up with the Nikki Hayes Show on 2FM, for an innocent big knit event in the Dundrum Town Centre (Mill Pond end).
In case you’re a first-timer to our blog (where have you been all our lives?), the innocent Big Knit is fundraising drive, where members of the Irish public are asked to knit little woolly hats for the tops of innocent smoothie bottles. For every lovable, behatted bottle sold, we make a donation to Age Action which goes directly toward helping Ireland’s older population keep warm and toasty this winter.
So this Sunday we’ll have an innocent Big Knit booth set up next to the 2FM Roadcaster (to rock you while you knit) and we’d love you to drop by. There’ll be smoothies to sample, patterns to exchange, songs to request and, of course, hats to be knitted. The booth will also be a hat collection point with innocent goodies bags going to the first 50 people to knit a hat(if you want to get a jump on the competition, you could bring along one that you made earlier, Blue Peter-style - visit http://www.innocentdrinks.ie/thebigknit for tips and advice). Why not join in the shenanigans and help us reach our goal of 80,000 hats and a warmer winter for all.
And anyone in Cork or Limerick who is eager to get knitting, we'll be having similar events there too.
Find us at Wilton Shopping Centre, Cork on Friday 25th June, from 12:00 to 15:00 and at Crescent Shopping Centre, Limerick on Thursday 1st of July, from 16:00 - 19:00
It gets better too. For anyone who missed us in Dundrum, they can join us again in Dublin at St. Stephens Green Shopping Centre on Thursday 29th of July.

Are you eager to secure funds for that dream project of yours?

Hello Patricia,
We haven't yet set the dates for this year's innocent big knit. But it should be sometime in the Autumn.
Thanks so much for your great support.
