Superhero competition winner

Last week we asked the question "what would you do with the power of invisibility" and promised the two best answers a lovely innocent smoothies hoodie. A whopping 34 of you responded but we could only choose two. So, here they are. Congratulations to Mark and Davin for their winning entries below. We'll be in touch shortly. "Haha, if I had the power of invisibility, i'd never have to pay for another ticket to an oxygen concert, it'd be free entry forever and free back stage passes and all!! I'd also have the best touchline view for every game at Croke park and the Aviva stadium!!

Davin

"I would use my invisibilty to go inside all of Irelands banks and take back all the money taken from the Irish people and distribute it back to them. I'd be an invisible innocent robin hood!!!"

 

Superhero around town

You've seen our our superhero on TV chasing trains, flying through the street and smashing through windows saving the peckish. Since landingin Avoca and Insomnia cafes our caped crusader has also been spotted around Dublin too.

Crime fighting snacks.

Sometimes our superhero gets tired of flying and decides to jump on a bike.

At last but not least, our superhero catches up with up some gnome friends. Everybody knows gnomes and superheroes are best buddies right?

Thank you letter from Concern

Last year we blogged about the Haiti earthquake disastor and how Concern were in need of donations to help their work. Our wonderful blog and newsletter readers, (that's you) sprung into action and raised €5,695 for Concern which helped with their work on the ground in Haiti amidst the devastation and destruction casused by the earthquake. This week, Concern sent us a letter thanking us, and more importantly you, for your generous donations. Click on the image below to read the letter.

A fruit monster from Cobh

Emails are great. But there's nothing like getting a lovely letter in the post. Like this one.

 
It's made even better when the letter is accompanied by a fruit monster photo and a pretty drawing.

 

When people send us nice things, we like to send them nice things in return. Sadly, the lovely Saoirse didn't include an address. An Post are pretty great but I don't think posting something to "Saoirse, Cobh, Co Cork" would work.
