Competition update: Congratulations to Ronan O'Leary who'll be joining us in Fruit Towers London next weekend at the innocent AGM (a grown up meeting). Stay tuned to our blog to see how Ronan and his guest of choice get along over in Fruit Towers London.
We've always liked to know what you think of the stuff we make. Your phone calls, letters, emails and visits into Fruit Towers Dublin make sure we know what you think we should do next and what we could do better. Every year we hold our very own AGM (A Grown-up Meeting), where 150 of you come to the innocent HQ in Fruit Towers London, ask some questions, learn a bit more about our business, make and taste some new stuff, and eat cake. And we’re rather excited about this year’s AGM on Saturday 8th of October.
Last year we brought lucky blog reader Mark Moran and his friend over to Fruit Towers London to report back for everyone else, and we'll be sending somebody else this year. Read on to find out more.
It’s our fourth AGM, but the first at the brand spanking new HQ office in Ladbroke Grove, London. It’s a proper tower the new office, right next to a canal with real life ducks floating about, and special taps that dispense boiling water. It's great.
We’re running a competition to fly one of you, our loyal drinkers-of-smoothies-and-readers-of-blog, and a friend, to London, with hotel accommodation nearby Fruit Towers London included, to attend our AGM on October 8th.
To win the free trip to London, just post the question you’d like to ask Adam, Jon and Rich the founders of innocent in the comments section below, and through a very scientific process possibly involving arm wrestling, we’ll pick a winner from the most interesting questions. The lucky winner could get to ask their question to them in person. So comment away, question away, make us smile or gasp or scratch our heads - it’s over to you...
Competition closed.

How long does it take from initial idea to get a new smoothie flavour on the shelf?

Have any of your smoothie flavours happened by accident (for instance, you were suppose to put in a specific fruit but ran out so substituted it with another that ended up tasting better)?

Is there not a conflict of interest in your commitment to natural healthy food and sustainability on the one hand, and allowing Coca Cola to take a 58% stake in your company on the other?

As a student who is studying entrepreneurship, how did you come up with the idea for Innocent Smoothies? Did it take a long time to come up with or was it just a sudden brainwave? Finally, Did you expect the product to become as big as it is now?
Thanks!
(woops, sorry its more than one question)

How are you able to contain cost but at the same time keep your product natural with 100% pure fruit,no added
sugar and no concentrates? Where do you get the ingredients? I mean from which country do you get it? Do you check that the labour are treated fairly?Thank you

Why did you, considering the ethos you have always projected, sell out to Coca Cola? :(

I always tell my kids not to plan too far ahead as I think you need to go with the flow of life. Did any of you plan to become founders of a smoothie & drink company or did you have very different plans for your life?

Have you thought of developing packs to allow people to make their own smoothies at home? I love your smoothies, but also love making my own and wish you would produce a pack with the ingredients to enable me to make my own smoothies.

How is it possible to make smoothies & drinks so devilishly tasty from natural ingredients with no artificial ingredients, no added sugar etc...
There is a god after all! What a tasty innocent god he is too ;-)

Why do you include 'gimmicks' in your smoothie packs i.e. fridge magnets etc? Do you not think reducing the price would a better way forward?

my kids love your smoothies, as do I, being an alternative health practitioner specialising in kiddie health, you get a big thumbs up from me! However, my kids are very young and struggle putting in the straw. Any plans for an Innocent water & fruit drink in resealable bpa-free bottle? Be SO handy in my house..thanks, fiona

It's fabulous that you use abundent mixtures of fab fruits in your smoothies, but awful that they have to be boiled within an inch of their fruity lives in the pasturising process. Any prospect of an innocent smoothie bar so they can be as fresh and fab as possible?

Innocent smoothies.... there's little innocent about them... they are all knowing, delicious and provoke many memories in one simple sip..!
